We are a certified Home Health Agency dedicated to the highest level of skilled nursing and rehabilitative care. Our mission is to provide our patients with the most comprehensive home health care services possible. That's our Promise to Care! Who is a Collections Specialist? Our ideal candidate is someone who is responsible and has excellent attention to detail and communication skills. This role is perfect for someone who has some billing/collections experience and is looking to further build their skills in this capacity. This position is Full Time (8:30am-5pm Mon-Fri) and based at our East Orange, NJ office.

Collections Specialist Responsibilities:

Daily review of AR aging and monitor the delinquent status of accounts and follow up as necessary to keep account current. Update customer accounts with detailed notes regarding collection process and disputes. Making outbound collection calls and communicating effectively via email, in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations. Resolves client-billing problems and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner. Investigate unpaid balances and underpayments. Work with insurances to resolve reimbursement issues. Track and follow up on appeals/reconsiderations. Accurately post payments to patient accounts. Escalate complex issues to supervisor.

Collections Specialist Skills & Qualifications:

1-2 years billing/collections experience preferably in healthcare/homecare. Detail-oriented and organized mindset. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Punctual attendance. Ability to work independently.
