Credit & Collections Specialist

A growing, business-facing organization in the Morristown area is seeking a Credit & Collections Specialist to support its AR operations. This role focuses on managing customer accounts, driving timely collections, and maintaining strong relationships while ensuring accurate credit assessments and minimizing risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, monitoring aging and proactively following up on outstanding balancesConduct collection efforts via phone and email while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approachReview and evaluate credit applications, establish credit limits, and monitor risk exposureResearch and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied cashPartner with sales and internal teams to address account issues and improve collection timelinesMaintain accurate account records, notes, and documentation within the systemPrepare aging reports and provide regular updates on collection status and risk accountsSupport month-end close by reconciling AR balances and ensuring proper account treatment
