Job Summary The Collector is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value or delinquent customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances and reduce aged receivables. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to resolve payment issues, maintain positive customer relationships, and support overall cash flow objectives. The Collector often handles complex accounts, escalated disputes, and higher-risk collections cases. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of overdue or high-risk accounts to ensure timely payment collection. Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication to follow up on past-due invoices. Negotiate payment plans, settlements, and resolution strategies in accordance with company policy. Review account histories to identify payment patterns, disputes, and credit risks. Resolve billing discrepancies by partnering with billing, customer service, sales, and accounting teams. Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on risk and delinquency level. Escalate unresolved or high-risk accounts to management, credit, or external agencies when appropriate. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activity and customer interactions. Recommend credit holds, limit adjustments, or account status changes based on risk analysis. Support month-end and close processes by reducing outstanding receivables and improving cash flow. Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations related to collections. Prepare reports on collection performance, delinquency trends, and account status updates. Collaborate with internal teams to improve billing accuracy and reduce future collection issues. Skills 2-3 years of collections experience Experience managing a large number of accounts Retail , CPG clients is a + SAP or Oracle experience preferred Experience using bill.com or similar platforms Excel experience - reporting and forecasting Experience managing B2B or B2C delinquent accounts and high-volume receivables portfolios. Proven ability to reduce aged receivables and improve cash collections performance. Strong understanding of credit policies, billing processes, and account reconciliation. Experience handling customer disputes, payment negotiations, and resolution of past-due accounts.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
