Bill Collector CSJ Mediation LLC Kenmore, NY Job Details Full-time $18 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Teamwork Account analysis Phone communication Financial concepts Debits & credits Patient interaction Full Job Description Job Summary The Bill Collector is responsible for contacting customers to collect payments on overdue accounts, resolving billing issues, and maintaining accurate records of all collection activities. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining professionalism and compliance with company policies and legal guidelines. Duties Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect outstanding payments. Review account information to verify amounts owed and payment history. Handle accounts receivable activities by following up on unpaid claims, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring timely collections. Negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, or extensions when appropriate. Record and update all communications and payment information in the system. Escalate complex cases or disputes to the Collections Manager or Legal Department Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing payment terms. Follow federal and state regulations such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Qualifications Excellent phone etiquette combined with superior customer service skills to handle sensitive consumer interactions effectively. Knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation is essential. Effective negotiation skills to facilitate collections while maintaining positive relationships with patients and insurance companies. Experience:
1-3 years of experience in collections, customer service, or accounts receivable.
Pay:
$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
