Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise in MCA collections, is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess excellent phone etiquette, strong customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of commercial collections. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your negotiation skills and attention to detail will make a significant impact. Responsibilities Contact delinquent accounts via phone, email, or written correspondence to facilitate prompt payments while maintaining professional and courteous communication Review and analyze account details using collections software and skip tracing tools to identify discrepancies or issues requiring resolution Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of accounts receivable records and resolve any outstanding debts Maintain comprehensive documentation of collection efforts, payment agreements, and account status updates in accordance with company policies Assist with accounts payable processes as needed and support other financial functions such as account analysis and reporting Skills Extensive knowledge of medical collection procedures, medical billing, and coding standards including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes and ICD-10 classifications Strong negotiation skills, account reconciliation, and professionalism Excellent phone etiquette combined with customer service skills to handle sensitive situations professionally Effective negotiation skills to secure payment agreements while maintaining positive relationships with clients Familiarity with telemarketing techniques for outreach efforts when necessary Strong math skills for account analysis, data entry, and financial calculations Join us in this engaging role where your expertise will directly influence our organization's financial health! Pay:
