Collection specialist Work location: West Babylon, NY, 11704Assignment Length:
5+ months (Possible extension/ conversion)Timings:
8am to 5pm M-F Looking for candidates with Industrial/ Manufacturing collections experience only.- Performs a wide variety of basic credit and collection functions.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Reviews and monitors credit sources, credit files, customer applications and delinquent accounts.
- Obtains required information from credit organizations, banks and loan associations.
- Maintains records on credit risks, delinquent accounts and incomplete files.
- Mails follow-up letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
- Confers with customers by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, and reviews terms of sales, service, or credit contract with customer.
- Receives and posts payments on customer accounts.
- Records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts.
- Sorts and files correspondence.
