Perks of the Job Michael Andrews & Associates LLC ("MAA") helps ensure that our team members are DRIVEN everyday by offering: Competitive Market Salary Hybrid Work Schedule Benefits package that includes, 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision and FSA Paid Time off and Holidays Job Summary This position is responsible for contacting consumers and conducting a compliant talk off that results in collections on charged-off automobile accounts. This role must also be able to document accounts, solve problems and communicate effectively. This position is required to stay in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory compliance while working to obtain individual and departmental goals. Essential Job Functions / Duties and Responsibilities Manage account work queue Ensure each account is worked thoroughly Obtain satisfactory payment arrangements on legal accounts Document all actions in appropriate system(s) Make manual outbound calls to consumers Participate in outbound dialer campaigns Conduct an effective and compliant talk off with the consumer Accept and handle incoming calls Collect money on legal accounts Use leads to locate debtor and obtain right party contacts Follow departmental guidelines for submitting accounts for legal action if consumer refuses to pay
Position Qualifications:
Must have minimum of two (2) years experience in charged off auto contracts Must have two (2) years of skip tracing skills / knowledge / techniques / contacts Must have high school diploma or equivalent Must have the ability to work successfully in a team environment Must be detail oriented and diligent in follow up Must have the ability to review a customer's file folder and glean information that provides leads on the possible location of vehicle Must have strong negotiation and problem solving skills Must possess a thorough understanding of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and/or applicable state collection laws Must have the ability to handle irate individuals over the phone and successfully defuse the situation while remaining professional Must be capable and willing to make difficult decisions Must have strong negotiation skills Must be detail oriented and diligent in follow up Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed MAA Values Our top employees bring our values to work every day!
