Online is seeking a driven, experienced, and highly professional Collection & Recovery Specialist to join our growing team. This is not a standard collections role. We are looking for a strong negotiator and recovery professional with experience in collections, third-party recovery management, bankruptcy oversight, compliance, and account auditing. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing both direct collection activity and supporting third-party recovery efforts in a fast-paced Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) environment. What You'll Do Manage inbound and outbound collection activity on accounts at various stages of delinquency. Negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, reconciliations, and resolutions with business owners professionally and effectively. Assist in managing and auditing third-party collection agencies and legal recovery partners. Review account history, documentation, collection efforts, and recovery strategy to ensure accuracy and performance. Monitor and assist with bankruptcy accounts, legal escalations, and compliance-related matters. Conduct skip tracing and investigative research to locate businesses, owners, and assets. Maintain detailed and accurate account notes, documentation, and follow-up activity. Ensure all collection efforts comply with company policy, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations. Collaborate with management on recovery strategy, operational improvements, and account escalations. Work high-balance and complex recovery accounts requiring advanced negotiation and problem-solving skills. Who You Are 3-5+ years of collections experience required; Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) experience strongly preferred. Experience working with or managing third-party collection agencies and/or legal recovery partners. Knowledge of bankruptcy processes, compliance standards, and recovery workflows. Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience auditing accounts, reviewing recovery efforts, and identifying operational gaps. Skilled in skip tracing and investigative account research. Goal-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding collection metrics. Comfortable handling difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism and emotional intelligence. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM systems, and credit/reporting platforms. Self-motivated, accountable, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic. Why Join Lendr?
