Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, reliable collector to contact clients (Workers' Compensation Insurance Carriers/TPA's) regarding outstanding Invoices. You will be responsible for recovering the money owed in as little time as possible, including submitting reconsiderations timely. A collector will have to be polite/professional and while also remaining committed to their purpose and persistent. Excellent communication skills and a sense of urgency are extremely useful to succeed in this task. Responsibilities Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments Locate and contact adjusters/clients to inquire of their payment status Handle questions or complaints Investigate and resolve discrepancies Create trust relationships with clients when possible to avoid future issues Update account status regularly Alert supervisor of debtors unwilling to pay Skills Collections experience is required, preferably in the Work Comp or similar industry Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines Excellent communication (both written and oral) and people skills Ability to be polite without lacking confidence High school diploma
