Legal Collections Specialist - Fully Remote, office in Boston (Must Reside in
MA/RI/NH
) •must have prior experience in legal collections• About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Collections Specialist to join their team. This is a fully remote opportunity for a professional with prior legal collections experience who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. In this role, you will partner closely with attorneys to manage accounts receivable, reduce outstanding balances, and support the firm's overall financial performance. Responsibilities Manage the collection of delinquent accounts and follow up with clients regarding outstanding balances. Prepare and analyze monthly collections reports and supporting documentation. Partner with assigned billing attorneys to manage their accounts receivable portfolios and promote proactive collection efforts. Review aging reports with attorneys and develop collection strategies for overdue accounts. Contact clients to resolve outstanding balances, negotiate payment arrangements, and establish payment plans when appropriate. Maintain accurate collection records, payment documentation, and account notes. Build and maintain strong working relationships with attorneys, clients, and internal staff. Ensure all collection activities are handled professionally and in accordance with firm policies. Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications 3 to 5 years of collections experience in a professional services environment required. Legal industry experience is required. Law firm experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections best practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor with confidence interacting with attorneys, clients, and executive leadership. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Pay:
$90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
