Non-Exempt or Exempt (role dependent) Position Summary The Servicing Performance Analyst - Loss Mitigation is responsible for reviewing and auditing delinquent accounts, conducting skip tracing activities, and supporting repossession efforts for accounts 61+ days past due. This role focuses on identifying accurate borrower and collateral location information, coordinating with repossession vendors, and documenting vendor performance issues to support oversight and continuous improvement. The analyst plays a critical role in reducing loss severity and improving recovery outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Delinquent Account Review & Audit Review and audit accounts that are 61+ days past due to assess recovery viability and next-step actions. Validate account data, contact history, payment activity, and prior collection efforts. Identify gaps, errors, or missed actions that may impact recovery or compliance. Ensure accounts meet internal criteria and policy requirements prior to repossession referral. Skip Tracing & Asset Location Perform skip tracing activities to identify current borrower contact information and vehicle location data. Utilize internal systems, third-party data sources, and investigative techniques to locate collateral. Verify accuracy of location information prior to referral to repossession vendors. Repossession Vendor Coordination Provide verified vehicle location and recovery instructions to repossession vendors through designated vendor systems. Communicate directly with vendor employees and agents to clarify account details, recovery expectations, or updates. Monitor vendor progress and responsiveness on assigned accounts. Vendor Performance Monitoring & Documentation Document gaps in vendor performance, including delays, communication issues, missed recovery attempts, or data inaccuracies. Escalate recurring issues or performance concerns to leadership for inclusion in vendor scorecards and reviews. Support reporting related to recovery timelines, success rates, and vendor effectiveness. Compliance & Documentation Ensure all loss mitigation, skip tracing, and repossession activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual standards. Maintain clear, complete, and timely documentation within servicing and vendor management systems. Support internal audits, reviews, and vendor oversight initiatives as required. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Servicing, Compliance, Risk, and Vendor Management teams to support recovery strategies and issue resolution. Provide feedback on process improvements and recovery challenges impacting portfolio performance. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2-4 years of experience in loss mitigation, collections, skip tracing, repossession coordination, or auto finance servicing including experience with DRN, LPR, and skip tracing workflows. Hands-on experience reviewing delinquent accounts and supporting repossession workflows. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Proficiency in servicing systems and Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications Experience in indirect auto finance or secured lending environments. Familiarity with repossession vendor systems and recovery workflows. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to collections, repossession, and consumer lending.
