Full-time Overview:
I have a integrated physical medicine chiropractic pain management clinic I am interviewing for a bilingual, Highly qualified collector and insurance biller for major medical, personal injury, attorney and workers comp claims. Aggressive collector including the ability to audit accounts, send out demand letters for payments and follow up. File appeals, demands and collect. 11514 Fallbrook Dr. Houston 77065. We are seeking a detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, billing, and terminology to assist in the collection process.Responsibilities:
- Contact patients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements
- Review and analyze medical records for accurate billing
- Utilize ICD-10, DRG, and ICD-9 coding systems for billing purposes
- Maintain patient accounts and update billing information
- Work closely with medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies
- Negotiate payment plans with patients based on financial situations
Experience:
- Proficiency in medical coding, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes
- Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and systems
- Experience in medical billing and collections
