In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, some billing and invoicing responsibilities, and maintaining positive relationships with our clients. You will collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, Billing, Cash Application, and other staff withing the company. Your expertise will help streamline our collections process and mitigate financial risks. This position is an 'in office' position only with no ability to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer credit accounts and evaluate creditworthiness Perform collections activities including calls, emails, and follow-ups on past-due accounts Process invoices and billing Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies Answer customer questions regarding problems with their accounts. Maintain accurate aging reports and customer records Work closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve disputes Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance, outstanding balances, provide next step recommendations on aging accounts. Complete all other tasks and duties assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Credit & Collections and/or a Billing role(required) Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes Excellent phone & email etiquette combined with outstanding customer service skills to foster positive client relationships. Effective negotiation skills to secure payment commitments while maintaining professionalism. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft work applications. Experience with accounting software desired. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Transportation, Moving, or Storage industries Familiarity with credit reporting tools and collection laws If you have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in credit/collections and billing and are looking for a stable long-term opportunity, we want to hear from you!
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
