Job Description
Description We are looking for a motivated Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in consumer collections and customer service. As part of the team, you will play a key role in managing autopay accounts and ensuring accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Follow up on overdue autopay accounts to ensure timely resolution and payment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving disputes professionally.
- Utilize Sage software to track account status and maintain detailed records.
- Collaborate with other departments to address discrepancies and improve collection processes.
- Monitor account trends and identify potential issues to proactively address them.
- Prepare and deliver reports on collection activities to management.
- Assist in improving workflows for more efficient collections processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients to negotiate payment arrangements.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly. Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in consumer collections or a related role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations.
- Proficiency in using Sage software for financial tracking and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
