Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a motivated Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in consumer collections and customer service. As part of the team, you will play a key role in managing autopay accounts and ensuring accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Follow up on overdue autopay accounts to ensure timely resolution and payment.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving disputes professionally.
• Utilize Sage software to track account status and maintain detailed records.
• Collaborate with other departments to address discrepancies and improve collection processes.
• Monitor account trends and identify potential issues to proactively address them.
• Prepare and deliver reports on collection activities to management.
• Assist in improving workflows for more efficient collections processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with clients to negotiate payment arrangements.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly. Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in consumer collections or a related role.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations.
• Proficiency in using Sage software for financial tracking and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
