Part-Time Medical Billing Specialist

Eberle Eyecare is looking for a Part-Time Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska . As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the billing process, ensuring accuracy, and handling insurance claims. WHAT WE OFFER.

Starting wage of $21.00-$24.00 based upon education and experience. A review will be completed after 30 days for a possible increase based upon performance. 20-25 hours per week - flexible schedule to accommodate work-life balance. WHAT YOU WILL DO.

Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims for vision care services. Bill any outstanding balances to patients. Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims, ensuring timely resolution. Review and verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility. Post payments, adjustments, and write-offs accurately to patient accounts. Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing inquiries. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

Experience as a Medical Biller, preferably in a vision or healthcare setting preferred . Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures. Familiarity with insurance claim processes and denial management. Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
