Alabama Pediatric Dental Associates and Orthodontics is a fast‑growing, patient-driven dental practice committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our patients/parents. We're looking for a detail‑oriented, proactive Insurance Coordinator to join our team and ensure smooth, accurate insurance processing from start to finish.Role Overview:
The Insurance Coordinator plays a key role in verifying coverage, managing authorizations, resolving claim issues, and supporting patients/parents with insurance-related questions. This position requires strong communication skills, accuracy, and the ability to navigate multiple systems with confidence.Key Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for new and existing patients
- Obtain prior authorizations and pre‑certifications as required
- Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims
- Review EOBs and resolve claim denials or discrepancies
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and update records in practice management systems
- Provide cost estimates and explain coverage details to patients/parents
- Ensure compliance with all insurance and billing regulations
Qualifications:
- Experience in insurance coordination, medical billing, or related field
- Strong understanding of insurance terminology, claims processes, and coverage rules
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with billing software and electronic health record systems (preferred)
