Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, insurance claim processing, payment posting, and revenue cycle management. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers. Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to claim submission. Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims to ensure timely reimbursement. Research and resolve billing discrepancies, claim denials, and payment issues. Post insurance and patient payments accurately into the billing system. Generate and review patient statements and assist with payment arrangements when needed. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing standards. Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients regarding billing inquiries. Review medical documentation and coding to ensure claim accuracy and compliance. Monitor accounts receivable and work aging reports to reduce outstanding balances. Maintain accurate billing records and documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) and billing systems. Assist with month-end reporting and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience required. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Medical Billing and Coding is preferred but not required.

From $19.00 per hour
