SHARKKS Therapy is a family owned, multi-discipline practice providing physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. SHARKKS Therapy treats all ages and conditions. Our patients are seen in the office and at home. SHARKKS Therapy is looking for a professional, self-starter, organized, and driven individual to further our exceptional culture as we expand. This role is essential in facilitating many duties including but primarily billing in addition to; scheduling, insurance authorization, data entry and answering incoming calls/patient coordinating. Full time Position, Busy and growing office looking for an experienced long term employee who is looking to expand their skillset. Must have a positive attitude, good customer service and is a team player.Job Duties:
Responsible for billing, obtaining insurance verification, prior authorization, scripts, POC's or any other required documents prior to patient visits Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments as required according to practice guidelines. Notifying patients with scheduling changes and reschedule where applicable. Informing patients of the information they are required to provide prior to patient visit including referral/authorization information, insurance information, medical history. Greet and check-in patients with a cheerful and professional demeanor Check patients out at check-out. Collect co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles. Answering patients' questions as it relates to billing and scheduling. Identify, assist, and attend to patient billing needs Proactively identify and implement process improvements Encourage positive patient reviews Be a part of maintaining the appearance of a clean office environment Prepare documents for patient visits/treatment Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA policies and practices) Obtaining and electronic filing of patient records, scripts, and authorizations. Close attention to detail while inputting patient data into the EMR Answering patients' questions as it relates to billing. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Minimum 2 years of medical billing required (Physical Therapy billing exp is a plus) Strong skills in verbal and written communication. Excellent customer service, communicating well with staff as well as patients Experience with EMR systems preferred (Specifically Fusion and Wellsky) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and OneDrive). Must be a self-starter with a positive, service-oriented attitude. Proficient in understanding of insurance, referral, and authorization requirements. Proven experience working in a medical office. Creative thinking and problem solving Must be proficient in keeping organized while multi-tasking Good telephone etiquette.Job Type:
