Full Job Description Job Summary:

Responsible for general billing needs including insurance verifications, A/R, payment collections and workers compensation billing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Verify patients' eligibility and benefits. Oversee A/R needs Respond to inquiries via email for patients' change in demographic information in a timely manner. Notify patients prior to their visits of any high balances or lack of active insurance. Process statements and verify balances with third party payors and update patient charts appropriately. Collect patient payments over the phone and post to their accounts. Answer phones and assist patients with their questions and resolve any concerns in a timely and professional manner. Support the denials in follow-up processes as needed. Process all workers compensation claims. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs (Word, Excel, Google Docs) Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Effective communication skills EMR proficient Proficient in insurance verification and authorization processes Bilingual, preferred Proficient in CollaborateMD and Practice Fusion a plus

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Frequent standing/bending/kneeling/sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
