Job Description
Billing & Insurance Verification - Pediatrics Busy Pediatric practice seeks super friendly and positive individual to join our team providing superior customer service while performing medical practice billing office responsibilities, including insurance verification and eligibility. This position works with a smaller team of billers collectively managing A/R including timely filing of claims, posting payments, resolving claim issues, including insurance follow-up and associated denials, as well as collecting patient balances. Must be experienced and proficient at correcting claims and writing appeals and be familiar with Arizona insurance plans, including AHCCCS. Other tasks and assigned projects are based on need of department and are expected to be performed with a cooperative and responsible attitude. This position also requires cross coverage assisting with scheduling, referrals and insurance verification. You must have the ability to answer multiple phone lines, have previous experience working in a medical practice (pediatrics and knowledge of Vaccines For Children (VFC) is a plus). Must be very proficient at written and oral communication. Must be a flexible, a self starter and manage time and tasks with detail and follow through.
