Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retina Supervisor to oversee clinical operations within our retinal services department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive ophthalmology knowledge, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. As Retina Supervisor, you will coordinate clinical workflows, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations to support optimal patient outcomes.
Duties Position:
Retina Supervisor Primary Duties:
Efficiently lead and oversee all aspects of the Retina Department. Essential Duties 1. Maintains an in-depth and current knowledge of Ophthalmology, emphasis on Retina. 2. Interact with physician and support staff to facilitate delivery of Retina surgeries and procedures. 3. Demonstrate strong leadership and motivational skills. 4. Interview prospective employees and chooses the best applicant based on skill, knowledge, and abilities required for the position. 5. Acts as primary liaison with Administration. 6. Facilitate administrative functions such as billing, inventory management, payroll, personnel functions. 7. Monitor staffing needs, including approval of PTO and coordination of coverage, to ensure adequate staff to meet the needs of the practice. 8. Responsible for in-service and training of staff, review staff knowledge of practice policies and procedures, and makes appropriate recommendations to administration. 9. Serves as principal contact person for all patient issues, maintains communication with patients, and observes strict patient confidentiality. 10. Manage department staff of 15-20 employees. 11. Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance or fill in as needed. 12. Attend meetings as needed. 13. Able to communicate verbally and in writing with outside public, other staff and physicians. 14. Able to operate under HIPAA guidelines. 15. Able to understand medical terminology. 16. Able to perform job duties with minimal supervision. 17. Other job duties as assigned.

Appearance and habits, does come to work with presentable personal hygiene and attire. 4. Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain job attendance with minimal absence. 5. Perform job duties in spite of unforeseen obstacles, with team spirit and personal temperament under stress and pressure.
Education/Experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills. Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations. Extreme attention to detail. High School Diploma or GED required. At least four years of management and directing staff in a medical office setting required. (Preferred) BS Degree or 4 year equivalent degree.
Physical characteristics:
1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. 2. Able to lift 25 pounds. 3. Dexterity, able to manipulate multiple work devices. 4. Extending, Bending kneeling and stooping.
Pay:
$25.00 - $34.00 per hour
