Job DescriptionJob Description Brown Insurance Services partners with public safety organizations, including firefighter associations and healthcare trusts, to deliver innovative, self-funded health and welfare solutions. Our work supports first responders and their families by ensuring sustainable, high-quality benefits programs. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial integrity and operational excellence of these trust-based benefit programs Position Summary The Senior Benefits Billing & Eligibility Analyst is responsible for end-to-end administration of health and welfare billing operations, including carrier reconciliation, payroll integration, eligibility reporting, COBRA processing, and wellness program financial tracking. This role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination between carriers, benefit administration systems, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Billing & Reconciliation
  • Audit and reconcile monthly carrier invoices against benefit administration systems
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies across carriers, payroll, and internal systems
  • Maintain accurate billing records and ensure timely corrections Payroll & Contributions
  • Manage employee and retiree payroll deductions for benefits
  • Reconcile employer and employee contributions with government authority payments
  • Process and validate payroll-related benefit activity Eligibility & Reporting
  • Produce and validate monthly eligibility reports
  • Manage retiree and active member billing
  • Track and report on wellness program participation and financials COBRA & Compliance
  • Process weekly COBRA notifications
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Open Enrollment
  • Prepare rate workbooks and system configurations
  • Implement payroll updates and plan changes
  • Validate system readiness Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 3-7+ years in benefits billing, healthcare administration, or payroll/finance
  • Experience with benefit administration systems and payroll integration
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Salesforce, QuickBooks, SharePoint preferred
  • Health & Life License preferred
