JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Services Coordinator/Manager, is responsible for the overall operational oversight includes supporting product and business development, service level improvement, team building and staff retention, production and quality management, workflow and process management, and customer support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

: Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory system, including establishing par levels per location, introduction of new products and weekly oversight of purchase orders. Review product pricing for cost-effectiveness and assist in price negotiations and coordinate bids from vendors (annually and as needed). Keeps supervisors and administrators informed of issues and concerns related to DME and other clinic supplies. Collect data, prepare reports, answer correspondence, and compile statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes. Maintains strictest confidentiality. Program development that ensures optimized costs savings for clients. Performs other duties, as assigned Work with outside venders and maintain relationships Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual) Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME) Knowledge of medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information Multi-task along with attention to detail Self-motivation, organized, plan and delegate, time-management and deductive problem solving skills Work independently and as part of a team Ability to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing Update and maintain on line catalog Demonstrated ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers geographically located within the assigned territory Highly organized, strong interpersonal skills Responsible for approving pricing within the appropriate levels. Expand current list of DME whole sale suppliers, mindful to secure best possible pricing for equipment Inventory analysis and establishing baseline inventory metrics Perform Supply Chain functions as needed Track implementation project deliverables using appropriate tools Partners with Provider Relations to offer consistent feedback on the overall performance of the National Vendor Network. Ability to bill Medicare, Medicaid and all other insurances Education and/or Experience Associate's Degree in business or related degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience in DME/HME, home health industry or business, required One to three years' of supervisory experience, preferred One to three years' experience in the home health industry, preferred
