Job Description

We are a Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning company looking for a Billing Specialist to join our Billing team! We are looking for a pro-active candidate who likes to research and use their analytical skills in order to bill accurately and proficiently. It is helpful but not necessary to know QuickBooks and Adobe Acrobat. We are willing to train the right candidate. This position entails having excellent computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft office/email and overall strong computer and typing skills (data entry). Additionally, to be considered for this position, we are looking for someone who is a dependable team player (very important), pro-active working independently at times, has strong basic math skills for billing and proofreading skills, attention to detail by doing research and billing accurately and on time with deadlines, demonstrates professionalism and politeness in all communications (phone, email, and with coworkers) while assisting the owner in his everyday business needs. The job will be predominantly billing and to help manage accounts receivable while sometimes assisting the owner in his daily business needs. This position is heavily centered around billing (paperwork), researching to complete billing tasks, and communication with vendors, technicians, and customers for accounts receivable collection. We are seeking a candidate with persistence, a strong drive to succeed, and the skills necessary to effectively help manage our billing and accounts receivable. This role offers a great deal of variety with each day being different while also being rewarding.
Responsibilities:
Entering in billing information to process and generate invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Conduct thorough proofreading of billing documents to ensure accuracy Researching jobs in order to bill correctly Reach Daily Billing Goals Continuously ask questions and work through obstacles till bill is complete Work through each bill to completion Utilize QuickBooks and Adobe for billing and financial transactions Maintain organized records of billing activities Provide exceptional customer service when addressing billing inquiries Following up frequently on past due invoices Helping assist in keeping Monday.com orders up to date Helping to manage the company email account and drafting professional emails Assisting the owner daily with various tasks and projects Assist in general office tasks as needed
Experience:
Proven experience in billing: accounts receivable, and billing inquiries is helpful Familiarity with QuickBooks and Adobe Acrobat software is a plus Strong data entry skills with high accuracy Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively Analytical Thinking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualities: Self-Driven and Proactive Positive, Helpful, Supportive, Can-Do Attitude, Team Player Goal-Oriented and Focused Highly Organized Detail Oriented in Billing Expert Computer Skills and Fast, Proficient Typing Skills Enjoys Conducting Research and Problem-Solving Ability to Multitask Effectively Excellent Problem-Solving Abilities Additional Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Providing assistance and information to customers, and directing calls as needed Maintaining office supplies inventory by regularly checking stock levels and anticipating needs Contributing to team efforts by efficiently accomplishing billing tasks Providing real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and helping to prevent conflicts Carrying out various administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc. • This is a smoke-free environment. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
