Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support the full lifecycle of client records, billing, and collections. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate client data, processing billing functions, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and reimbursement requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and manage client demographic, financial, and billing information within the electronic medical record (EMR) systemProcess the full billing cycle, including claim preparation, submission, review, and follow-upVerify insurance benefits and coverage with payers as neededAudit services prior to submission to ensure accurate coding, documentation, and reimbursement eligibilityPost payments, denials, recoupments, and adjustments; research and resolve account discrepanciesPrepare and submit insurance claims (electronic and paper), including corrections and resubmissionsSupport clinical staff with insurance authorizations and required documentation for ongoing servicesTrack and manage treatment request forms and authorization timelinesRespond to client, staff, and insurance carrier inquiries regarding billing, balances, and recordsMaintain compliance with medical, legal, ethical, and regulatory standardsAssist with credentialing processes and maintain updated provider information in systemsCoordinate with collection agencies and assist with delinquent account managementEnsure accurate and secure handling of sensitive client records in compliance with confidentiality laws
