Medical Collections Specialist

Medical Insurance Collector - Join Our Team! We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Insurance Collector to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for following up on unpaid insurance claims and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance carriers.

Responsibilities:

Follow up on outstanding insurance claims via phone, online portals, and written communication Investigate and resolve denied or underpaid claims Work closely with billing and front office staff to ensure accurate claim submission Maintain detailed documentation of all collection activity Identify trends and report recurring billing or payer issues

Qualifications:

Prior experience in medical billing or insurance collections preferred Knowledge of insurance guidelines, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and EOBs Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
