Job Description
About Us Language Link Therapy is a fast-growing pediatric therapy company providing Speech and Occupational Therapy services across South Florida. We specialize in early intervention (ages 2-7) and partner closely with ABA centers to deliver collaborative, high-quality care. We are building a strong operational team and are looking for someone who can manage both the financial side of patient care and the insurance process from start to finish . Position Overview This is a multi-functional role responsible for: Medical Billing Insurance Authorizations Patient Onboarding & Financial Coordination You will serve as a key point of contact for both insurance companies and families , ensuring services are authorized, billed correctly, and paid in a timely manner. Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Revenue Cycle Assist billing team with submission and management of insurance claims (Medicaid & commercial) Review and work denials (resubmissions, corrections, appeals) Track outstanding claims and follow up with payers Assist with posting payments and reconcile accounts Identify and resolve billing issues proactively Patient Financial Coordination (Parent-Facing) Communicate with families regarding benefits, copays, deductibles, and cost share Collect patient payments (copays, coinsurance, balances) Set up and manage payment plans Educate families on insurance coverage and financial responsibility Handle sensitive financial conversations professionally and confidently Authorizations & Benefits Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Submit and track authorizations for therapy services Ensure visits align with authorization limits Communicate authorization status to clinical team and families Patient Onboarding Manage intake process (forms, insurance, documentation) Ensure all required information is completed before first visit Coordinate scheduling of evaluations Provide a smooth onboarding experience for new families Qualifications 2+ years experience in medical billing, authorizations, or revenue cycle Comfortable being client/patient-facing in financial discussions Experience with Medicaid and commercial insurance required Experience with EMR/billing systems (ClinicSource, Office Ally, etc.) a plus Strong communication and problem-solving skills Highly organized and detail-oriented What We're Looking For Someone who can balance customer service + collections Confident discussing money with families (without being awkward about it) Able to push insurance companies when needed Takes ownership of problems and follows them through to resolution Thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Paid time off Growth opportunities as the company expands Ability to grow into a senior operations or revenue cycle role Why Join Us Be part of a growing company with strong demand Work directly with leadership to improve systems Make a real impact on both patient experience and company performance No red tape—your ideas actually get implemented
