Job Description

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of revenue cycle management and medical terminology, as well as proficiency in coding and accounts payable. The Billing Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective communication.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and manage billing transactions accurately and efficiently. Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. Handle accounts payable functions, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies. Utilize ICD-10 coding to ensure proper billing for medical services rendered. Communicate effectively with clients via phone to address billing inquiries and provide support. Maintain organized records of all billing activities and documentation. Collaborate with the finance team to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency. Stay updated on changes in revenue cycle management practices and medical terminology.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in billing or related financial services roles. Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management principles. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and medical terminology is preferred. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Understanding of accounts payable processes. Knowledge of corporate accounting practices is a plus. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25lbs Sitting/Standing for long periods of time Using computer screen for at least 8 hours/daily
