Cardiology Charge Poster SouthCoast Health - 3.6 Savannah, GA Job Details Full-time 11 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Disability insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Bereavement leave Qualifications Inpatient Meditech Outpatient Hospital experience Full Job Description SouthCoast Health Is Looking For A Full-time Experienced Cardiology Charge Poster Responsible for supporting hospital based cardiology services by ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant charge capture across inpatient, outpatient, and observation settings. Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, managing encounters with Meditech, and collaborating with cardiologist, cath lab, electrophysiology (EP), coding, and revenue cycle teams to support RCx (Revenue Cycle/Revenue Integrity) standards and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Experience in hospital-based charge entry, billing, or coding, preferably in cardiology. Working knowledge of Meditech (Expanse or Client Server). Experience in hospital inpatient and outpatient billing workflows.
Responsibilities:
Accurately enter, review, and reconcile cardiology charges within Meditech EHR and billing system. Ensure all billable cardiology services are captured throughout the patient episode of care in compliance with RCx revenue integrity rules. Review provider, cath lab, and EP documentations to ensure services rendered are adequately supported and aligned with billing requirements. Investigate and correct encounters routed to RCx BIN or HOLD status due to discharge discrepancies or encounter selection errors. Review and validate EP services including EP studies, ablations, pacemaker and ICD insertions, revisions, and interrogations. Support timely and accurate charge posting to facilitate clean claims, efficient billing processes, and accurate month-end close. Assist with internal audits, revenue integrity initiatives, and compliance reviews as needed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of
CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10
coding and modifier usage. Knowledge of hospital charge capture and revenue integrity principles. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Knowledge of
CMS, NCCI
edits, and hospital billing regulations. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Education/ Experience:
High school diploma. Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Administration, Business, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare billing/charge capture experience. Preferred certifications (one or more): CPAM, CCS, CPC, or
RHIA/RHIT.
