Billing Specialist

We're currently looking for a full-time Billing Specialist to join our Accounting Department! The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Accounting. Great full-time first shift schedule of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. A day in the life of a Decker Billing Specialist looks like: Billing loads Answering phones and helping with questions Processing Proof Of Delivery requests and scanning paperwork Verifying paperwork is scanned with correct load Processing load paperwork; working with customers to complete missing paperwork Monitoring loads that involve or go into detention (the time a Driver waits past their appointment time) Reviewing Customer/Driver files, validating detention time taken and ensuring Drivers are paid appropriately Processing weekly Driver Detention pay out report Collaborating with Accounts Receivable to resolve past due detention revenue and assist with collections Completing web-based data entry Uploading invoices and backup paperwork Setting up new customers for invoicing Assisting with making washout and pallet decisions that are cost-efficient for the company; enter reimbursements of unloading, pallets and washouts Authorizing requests for a truck washes Other duties as assigned Billing Specialist Must Haves Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced professional work environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good keypunch, communication and cross reference skills A background in MS Office Accounting Experience Payroll Experience Billing Specialist Nice to Haves 2 year Accounting degree or equivalent working experience preferred Knowledge of McLeod Transportation Software, Payment websites and Desktop Deposit Services helpful What You Get From Decker A competitive wage paid weekly!
