We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our stellar team. Position Summary The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all billing activities for both our pain management clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role works closely with providers, clinical staff, and administrative personnel to maximize reimbursement, ensure compliance, and provide exceptional service to our patients. This is an in-office position working 32-38 hours per week , including one scheduled half-day each week. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience in a Pain Management practice Experience billing for both a Pain Clinic and an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is required Experience with AMD Practice Management/EMR software strongly preferred Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation, and third-party payers Understanding of pain management procedures, injections, and surgical billing Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Preferred Qualifications Certification in Medical Billing and Coding Associate degree or higher in a related field Experience with denial management and appeals Knowledge of Idaho payer requirements and regulations Essential Responsibilities Submit and manage insurance claims for both clinic and ASC services Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and obtain authorizations as needed Review, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and unpaid claims Post insurance and patient payments accurately Reconcile accounts and identify billing discrepancies Ensure coding accuracy using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines Respond to patient and insurance billing inquiries professionally and efficiently Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations Work closely with providers and staff to improve billing workflows and reimbursement Assist with month-end reporting, audits, and revenue cycle management initiatives What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity for professional growth and development Stable schedule with work-life balance How to Apply If you meet the qualifications above and are looking to join a dedicated team focused on providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply.
