• $80,000 (based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Medicaid Revenue Review & Billing Specialist with proven experience in Medicaid billing, utilization review, and a strong understanding of accounting procedures.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, proper authorization, timely reimbursements, and full financial tracking from billing through deposit reconciliation. Key Responsibilities Medicaid Billing & Utilization Review

• Submit, review, and manage Medicaid claims (initial, corrected, resubmissions) Verify eligibility, authorizations, and ensure services meet medical necessity requirements Perform or coordinate utilization review to ensure proper level of care and reimbursement Identify, track, and resolve denied or delayed claims, including authorization-related denials Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations, documentation, and utilization standards Accounting & Financial Responsibilities Post payments and reconcile deposits against billed revenue Maintain Accounts Receivable (A/R) and follow up on outstanding balances Assist with month-end close related to billing and revenue Ensure billing activity aligns with accounting records Track revenue accuracy from authorization through payment Reporting & Coordination Generate weekly A/R and collections reports Identify trends in denials, authorizations, or payment issues Work with clinical and administrative teams to resolve discrepancies Maintain audit-ready documentation for billing and utilization review Qualifications 2+ years Medicaid billing experience (required) Experience with utilization review, authorizations, or medical necessity reviews (required) Strong understanding of claims processing, authorizations, and denials Working knowledge of accounting principles (A/R, reconciliation, posting) Must understand how billing ties to costs, deposits, and financial reporting High attention to detail and accuracy Preferred•Behavioral health, rehabilitation, or treatment facility experience•Familiarity with state Medicaid systems Experience with QuickBooks ONLINE What We're Looking For Someone who owns the full revenue cycle from authorization to payment Strong problem solver who can identify breakdowns in billing or utilization Organized, accountable, and detail-driven
