Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Shreveport, LA 71104 $15.00 - $18.50 an hour - Full-time $15.00 - $18.50 an hour - Full-time The Ear, Nose & Throat Center is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable employee to work in the Billing Office at our Line Avenue location. The position will be full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Job duties will include the following: Obtaining referrals for diagnostic testing and surgical procedures Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits and deposits due in a timely manner Review and assign CPT, diagnosis and modifiers based on documentation to ensure accurate billing practices Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and coding standards Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding their accounts, payments, and insurance claims Manage medical records requests from patients and third parties, following state and federal guidelines
