Job Duties and Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance authorization and verification, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. Qualifications Knowledge of Medical Terminology, coding Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in using electronic medical records system Responsibilities Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients Manage all insurance verifications and prior authorizations Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues Assist patients with insurance relation questions or concerns Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and JCAHO standards Collaborate with the medical billing team to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement The employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization Requirements Previous experience in insurance verification or related field preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in insurance authorization and verification Knowledge of Medical Terminology, coding Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
