Job Description
Coastal Women's Healthcare is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our in-house billing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate reimbursement by managing claims throughout the revenue cycle, from charge entry and payment posting to denial resolution and insurance follow-up. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medical claims, insurance carriers, coding, payment posting, and denial management. OB/GYN billing experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Review, enter, and validate patient charges and coding information Post insurance and patient payments accurately and efficiently Monitor claims through the reimbursement process and follow up on outstanding claims Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments Submit appeals and supporting documentation to insurance carriers as needed Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim and payment issues Maintain accurate billing records and documentation Assist patients with billing questions, payment processing, OB prepay accounts, and balance inquiries Collaborate with providers and staff to support accurate charge capture and reimbursement Qualifications Previous experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or insurance reimbursement required Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing processes Experience with payment posting, denial management, and claims follow-up Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Professional communication skills and a patient-centered approach OB/GYN billing experience preferred Why Coastal Women's Healthcare?
