Compensation:
$29-$33.50/hour Our client, a respected Detroit based law firm, is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to support its Financial Services team. This role is responsible for managing legal billing operations, invoice processing, eBilling coordination, and ensuring compliance with firm and client billing requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong law firm billing experience, exceptional attention to detail, and experience working with legal billing systems such as Aderant and various eBilling platforms. Responsibilities Generate, review, edit, and finalize legal invoices for attorneys and clients Prepare prebills and process final client billing Maintain client billing guidelines and billing records Process and submit invoices through eBilling platforms Monitor invoice status and resolve rejected invoices in a timely manner Support attorney and client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate billing transactions, adjustments, and financial records Upload and maintain timekeeper rates and matter information within eBilling systems Coordinate with attorneys, billing teams, and administrative staff regarding billing issues and requests Generate billing reports, aging reports, and assist with special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field preferred 3+ years of law firm billing experience required Strong knowledge of legal billing workflows and eBilling processes Experience with Aderant strongly preferred Experience with eBilling systems such as Serengeti, Tymetrix, Passport, BillBlast, or similar platforms preferred Understanding of LEDES billing formats is a plus Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast paced law firm environment
