Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing billing processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who excel in high-volume environments and have a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute customer invoices with precision and timeliness.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including follow-ups on overdue payments.
- Process accounts payable transactions while ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries professionally.
- Reconcile billing accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to support seamless financial operations.
- Assist with general accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline billing and payment processes.
- Maintain organized records and ensure adherence to company policies. Requirements
- Previous experience in billing, accounts payable, or a related accounting role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
- Organizational skills to manage high volumes of transactions.
- Problem-solving abilities to address billing issues and customer concerns.
