Dental Insurance & Billing Coordinator — Orthodontic Practice Colby-Mueller Orthodontics

  • Full-time, 32 hrs/week (Fridays off)
  • $25-$30/hour (DOE) About Us Colby-Mueller Orthodontics is a well-established, multi-office orthodontic practice serving families across the Brainerd Lakes area.

We are growing, and we are adding a dedicated Insurance & Billing Coordinator to own a function that has been shared until now. The Role This is a focused, high-ownership role for someone who likes order, accuracy, and follow-through. You will own our day-to-day insurance and billing — claims from submission through payment, accurate posting, and keeping patient accounts and AR current and clean. You will work directly with our Practice Manager in an organized practice that takes billing seriously. What You Will Do Submit, track, and follow up on dental insurance claims through to payment Post payments accurately and keep patient accounts current Monitor and work accounts receivable aging on current accounts — follow up on outstanding insurance and patient balances Verify insurance benefits and coverage ahead of patient appointments Communicate professionally with insurance carriers and patients to resolve questions and balances Identify recurring causes of claim delays or denials and help fix them at the source Support clean, reliable reporting on AR performance to the Practice Manager What We Are Looking For Prior insurance/billing experience (required), dental preferred Comfort working insurance AR, claims, and aging reports independently Strong attention to detail and accuracy with account data and payment posting Confident, professional phone and written communication with carriers and patients Fluency with practice management software and a willingness to learn ours Reliability, discretion with confidential information, and a calm, organized approach Schedule Full-time, 32 hours per week, worked as a four-day week with Fridays off.
