We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented ENT Medical Billing Specialist to join our team and help ensure the financial health of our practice.

Position Summary:

An ENT Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the revenue cycle specific to Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) services. This includes coding, billing, claim submission, denial management, and patient account resolution. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ENT procedures, modifiers, and insurance guidelines to maximize reimbursement and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately review and code ENT-related procedures and diagnoses (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) Submit clean claims to commercial and government payers via clearinghouse or EMR Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid or denied claims Correct and resubmit rejected claims in a timely manner Verify patient insurance benefits and coverage for ENT services and procedures Work with patients on outstanding balances and set up payment arrangements when necessary Coordinate with providers, clinical staff, and front office to resolve billing discrepancies Stay up to date with payer policies and ENT-specific coding changes Generate weekly and monthly billing reports as requested Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Familiarity with commercial and government insurance payers, including Medicare and Medicaid Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Skills:

ENT-specific coding and billing experience Proficiency with NextGen and/or ModMed EHR Knowledge of surgical claims, audiology, allergy testing, and in-office procedures Experience with appeals and insurance authorization processes
