Overview Job Summary:

Coordinates billing of physician charges, responds to patient inquires regarding their bills and follows up on billing and insurance issues in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Works independently with minimal supervision. Communicates timely and appropriately. Reviews and corrects physician billing and diagnosis codes from review of physician notes, making appropriate changes and communicating with physician on coding results. Performs detailed billing and complaint audits as such pertain to accounts receivable. Coordinates billing and medical records functions and processes. Responsible for billing of inpatient and outpatient amounts to third party payers and guarantors. Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
