Job Description

Job Title:
Billing Specialist Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, managing new customer account setup, supporting collections efforts, and providing backup assistance for Accounts Receivable functions. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly accurate, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Specialized Billing:
Process and manage billing for various services and products while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
New Customer Setup:
Establish new customer accounts by gathering required documentation, verifying credit references, and ensuring all billing requirements are met.
Collections:
Monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances, follow up on past-due invoices, and assist in implementing collection strategies to promote timely payment.
Accounts Receivable Support:
Provide backup support for AR functions, including posting payments, reconciling customer accounts, and resolving billing discrepancies.
Additional Duties:
Assist with month-end closing tasks, AR aging reviews, reporting, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related financial role required. Strong knowledge of billing and accounts receivable processes and best practices. Experience with both AR and AP functions preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required to sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers to operate office equipment, and communicate verbally and in writing. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
