This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable managing billing activities in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will help support timely invoicing, payment follow-up, and account documentation while working with computerized billing tools.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule using the billing platform. Review billing records for completeness, verify charges, and resolve discrepancies before statements are released. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with customers regarding past-due accounts in a clear and courteous manner. Generate billing statements and maintain clear documentation of account activity, adjustments, and payment status. Enter and update billing information in computerized systems to keep customer and transaction records current. Respond to internal and external billing questions by researching account details and providing timely clarification. Support collection efforts by tracking receivables and escalating unresolved payment issues when appropriate. Experience performing billing-related duties in an administrative, accounting, or customer support environment. Working knowledge of invoicing, account follow-up, and statement preparation. Ability to use computerized billing systems and standard office software with accuracy and efficiency. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify errors, missing information, and payment discrepancies. Effective written and verbal communication skills for customer contact and internal coordination. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple billing tasks and deadlines. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional accounting or finance coursework is a plus.
