Job Description
Description We are looking for a Billing Clerk to support accurate invoicing and payment follow-up for a long-term contract opportunity in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable working with billing records, preparing customer statements, and maintaining organized financial documentation in a computerized environment. The selected individual will help ensure timely billing activity, assist with collections, and contribute to smooth day-to-day account support.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process customer invoices with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review billing records and statements to confirm charges, resolve discrepancies, and maintain complete documentation.
- Follow up on outstanding balances through consistent collection activities and payment status tracking.
- Generate and distribute billing statements to customers in a timely manner.
- Update account information and maintain billing data within computerized billing systems.
- Respond to internal and external billing inquiries by researching account details and providing clear information. Requirements
- Experience or exposure to billing support, invoicing, or related administrative work.
- Familiarity with collections activities and customer account follow-up.
- Ability to prepare, review, and manage billing statements accurately.
- Comfort working within computerized billing systems and other office software tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize financial information effectively.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for handling billing-related questions.
