Attention to detail Patient interaction Full Job Description Beartooth Vision Center has an opportunity for an Insurance Specialist to join our team. This is a career opportunity to serve in a role that has a great deal of autonomy and highly refined analytical skills. We prefer experience with medical billing processes (automated and manual submission), knowledge in ICD-10 medical coding, and patient centric, but - if the fit is right - we would consider other candidates.
The Role:
Expectations and Responsibilities As an Insurance Specialist, you'll play a critical role to our office and patients by supporting with an eye for detail and a passion for customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Authorizing insurance benefits for scheduled patients Submission of clean claims Verifying and posting of payments Accounts receivables Follow-up with insurance companies for unpaid error claims Patient communications If current on insurance duties, some variety in learning other office responsibilities Be personable, gracious, and willing to learn from mistakes What we're looking for is an individual who: Is enthusiastic, detail-oriented and a self-starter Enjoys daily interactions with patients and thrives in a customer service role analytical thinker Is an excellent communicator—both written and verbal Is proficient in Microsoft products and technologically savvy (or willing to learn!) Is familiar with HIPAA Compliance and Electronic Medical Records Possesses medical billing experience (preferred) Has ICD-10 knowledge and preferrable 1+ years of experience Is dependable, collaborative, and brings a positive, can-do attitude Who We Are At Beartooth Vision Center, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, cutting-edge eye care in a friendly and professional environment.
