In this vital role, you will be responsible for the daily billing of physical therapy and pain management claims, ensuring accurate coding, timely submission, and effective follow-up on unpaid accounts. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycle management, improve cash flow, and support the overall financial health of the practice. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and possesses a strong understanding of medical billing procedures and coding systems. Responsibilities Prepare and submit insurance claims using appropriate coding standards such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases). Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing compliance with regulatory guidelines. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective communication with insurance companies and patients. Maintain detailed records of billing activities within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation or coding discrepancies to optimize reimbursement. Stay current with updates in medical coding standards, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations to ensure ongoing compliance. Experience Proven experience in medical billing preferably experience in physical therapy or pain management. Proven experience in medial authorizations obtaining to pain management, physical therapy, and MRI's. Prefer experience in medical terminology, medical records management, and the use of EMR/EHR systems. Prefer experience with E-Clinical Works. Knowledge of
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding, DRG classifications, and medical billing software. Strong understanding of medical collection procedures and insurance claim processes. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive patient information securely. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
