Job Description
Medical Billing and Coding Specialist requirements: Able to analyze the ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding for reimbursement Ability to properly code services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments Notify providers of coding opportunities Prepare and send claims for payment Follow up on denials Correct rejected claims Post charges Track payments Follow-up with insurance and patients Outpatient primary care experience preferred Basic understanding of medical terminology Working knowledge of computer systems and relevant medical software. The ability to learn new programs. The ability to communicate effectively and professionally The medical billing process involves contacting patients for payment and answering questions. Medical Coding Certification and experience Medical Coding Certification or Associates Degree Medical Billing & Coding with at least 3 years required work experience preferred. Medical Billing experience required CCS, CPB, or CPC certification preferred Reception Coverage Must be detail oriented, courteous, efficient and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
