Billing Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in account analysis, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong negotiation skills and proficiency in revenue cycle management, making it essential for maintaining healthy financial operations within the organization. Responsibilities Track/Monitor the status of all MCO and PHP billing claims Research denied claims Call insurance companies to find out denial codes Resubmit claims Credentialing and Recredentialing providers Communicate with other agency departments when needed to make necessary corrections to any denied claims before resubmission. Communicate with and update Senior Management on weekly billing claims approvals, denials, total reimbursement etc. Requirements Proven experience in billing, accounting, or related fields is preferred. Strong mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail. Minimum 2 years of billing knowledge and experience Previous experience in Human Services Field preferred.
