  • Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Chiropractic Billing Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maintaining precise medical records. Your expertise will help optimize revenue cycles, improve patient satisfaction, and uphold compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring adherence to coding guidelines such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10. Review medical records and documentation to verify the accuracy of diagnoses, procedures, and billing codes, including DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective communication with insurance companies and patients to facilitate prompt payment. Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claims status, and payment histories to support audits and financial reporting. Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure proper documentation of medical terminology, records, and coding practices are consistently maintained. Stay updated on industry regulations related to medical coding and billing standards to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines. Assist in resolving discrepancies in medical records or billing information that may affect reimbursement or patient accounts. Requirements Preferred experience in medical billing with a strong understanding of medical coding including CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG classifications. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for managing medical records and billing processes. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare reimbursement procedures. Experience in handling medical collections efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex data related to insurance claims and payments. Excellent communication skills for liaising with insurance providers, patients, and healthcare staff.
