April 3, 2026 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location Woodsville, NH 03785, USA Job Details Description Cottage Hospital is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll provide functional oversight and training to staff while helping guide daily workflow priorities under the direction of leadership. You'll play a key role in revenue cycle operations, with a focus on following up on complex claims to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. This position requires a strong understanding of third-party payer requirements, coding practices, and healthcare billing regulations—particularly within New Hampshire. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing work to meet strict deadlines, maintaining compliance with departmental policies and health regulations, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement efforts. You'll also participate in meetings and training opportunities to stay aligned with best practices and evolving standards. We're seeking someone who is self-motivated, highly organized, and service-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Respect for diverse perspectives and a commitment to maintaining a professional, supportive environment are essential. What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of billing experience in an acute care setting (Critical Access Hospital experience preferred) Experience with physician billing environments Strong knowledge of third-party insurance regulations and reimbursement requirements in New Hampshire Familiarity with
ICD, CPT, HCPCS
