Medical Billing Assistant (Entry-Level)

Linden, NJ | Full-Time Onsite Care Station Medical Group is a trusted, open-access healthcare provider offering primary, urgent, specialty, and occupational care across six New Jersey locations. We are growing our team and seeking a full-time Medical Billing Clerk to join our supportive, fast-paced billing department in a Monday-Friday role. We are looking for a detail-oriented, entry-level Billing Assistant to support our billing operations. No prior medical billing experience is required. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with entry level administrative, customer service, or medical front desk experience who are looking to build a long-term career in healthcare and grow into a Medical Collections Specialist role. What You'll Do Enter and update billing data (charges, payments, adjustments) while learning core revenue cycle processes Assist with preparing and reviewing insurance claims before submission Verify patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy Check claim status using payer portals and document updates Help post insurance and patient payments under guidance, building hands-on billing experience Identify basic issues (missing info, simple denials) and escalate appropriately as you develop problem-solving skills Scan, upload, and organize EOBs and billing documentation Support the billing team with administrative tasks and workflow organization What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and organization Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, data entry) Ability to follow processes and learn quickly Interest in developing a career in medical billing Medical or office experience is a plus (not required) Apply today to start building your career in medical billing.
